Actaea ‘Brunette’ produces deep purplish-black cut leaf foliage and tall fragrant spikes of flowers in the summer. The flowers develop in visual stages, budding in purplely-pinky groups and opening in beautifully scented white flowers. This plant attracts pollinators and is deer resistant. Actaea prefers moist well draining soils in part to full shade.
