Redmond grows into a tall, rounded pyramidal shape with lower branches that droop towards the ground before sweeping up. Redmond has the largest leaves of all Lindens and the flowers are very fragrant making them highly attractive to bees and butterflies. The bees are sometimes cultivated for the honey they produce from Redmond flowers. This honey, called linden honey, has a slight menthol taste.
